Over the weekend my wife and I went into Manchester to have a wander around. As usual I took my camera with me and took some photographs.
I was lining up to take a photo of Minshull’s House (behind the Cathedral), when a car beeped it’s horn at me. As I turned around I was met with this view - the guys in the car were trying to scare me as a joke! For the first time in my life I DIDN’T jump out of my skin (my wife can attest to what a wimp I usually am). I had a quick chat with them, and asked if I could take the photo - which turned out to be my favourite of the day.
Last year my wife and I visited Tyntesfield near Bristol with my dad. I had never heard of it before, even though I had lived about 15 miles from it for the majority of my life - and considering it’s rich history, I was amazed when I eventually went there.
At one point the owner was the richest man in Britain, making his fortune importing guano (bat droppings) as a source of fertiliser.
We happened to visit when there was a vintage car rally and I thought it was apt to take a photograph of this Bristol car (possibly a 408/409 model).
